Access Project
Click Here to view my Access Project.
I created an Access Database on 10 states. I used to database to compare these states and things like their population, flower, bird, and capital. I also created two questions to go along with the database. Prior to doing this project I wasn't even aware that this program was available on the computer. This is a great soure for teachers to have because it can help them make lessons and games for their students. This is a good tool to have and to be familiar with for so many reasons.
NETS.T Standards:
1. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity
3. Model Digital-Age Work and Learning

Google Earth
Click here to view my Google Earth location.
I chose Naples, Florida for my location on the Google Earth map. This is a great tool for people to be able to explore places around the globe from their home computers. I have never used Google Earth before this project and I think it is a great resource to have available for people, especially as a teacher. You can do virtual tours and field trips from the computers in the school and it is a great and helpful tool for teaching.

Video
My video project is about the Animal Alphabet and how it is used to help young students in pre-school and kindergarten recognize letters. The use of the alphabet is very important in the beginning stages of reading. Doing this project has not only taught me about a lesson plan that is going to be useful to me as a teacher but has taught me how to use moviemaker and import files and things to create my own video.
NYS Standards met:
Standard 1: Language for Information and Understanding
Standard 4: Language for Social Interaction

5 Websites
These 5 websites that I have found are tools and resources that will help me as a teacher. They help me teach the students the basic things that they need to know and provide fun activities for them to do. Some of the websites are also very useful to me as a teacher because I can order my supplies and some classroom activities from them. Being able to use the web to help the students learn is a great resource.

PowerPoint
I did my PowerPoint project on the city of Rome. I think this project helped me to get good practice and become familliar with all the attributes that PowerPoint offers. I didn't know much about the program and now I know how to add in pictures, animations, and even sounds. This is a very useful resource for me to be familiar with.
